Television broadcast can be defined as the transmission of visual images of moving and stationary objects. Generally the transmissions have accompanying sound. These transmissions are in the form of electromagnetic waves. The reception of the broadcast requires a receiver antenna and reconversion of received waves into visual images.

Television receiver:

• An electronic apparatus that receives electromagnetic waves and displays the reconverted images on a screen.
• The integrated audible and visible content of the electromagnetic waves received and converted by such an apparatus.
