It might be helpful to know that Creative Commons (cc)licenses were written in 2001 with the U.S. legal system in mind. They are in between full copyright — all rights reserved — and the public domain where no rights are reserved. Creative Commons (cc) provides legal protection for you even though you give people the privilege to use your work within boundries. See: http://creativecommons.org/learnmore.
