Description

Doming is a ten-year-old boy from the Philippines. Before school he sells flavored ice to people to help them cool off in the hot climate. He lives at home with his mother and grandfather. His two older sisters live and work in a big city. Doming loves his grandfather but is afraid of him because of his Muslim beliefs.

Doming wants to follow Jesus but is afraid of what his grandfather will do to him. Even so, he and his mother both become believers in Jesus. Doming's grandfather is drunk and angry. He cuts Doming's shoulder with a sharp knife. Later the grandfather is troubled and ashamed of what he did.

Doming is taken to a hospital. Grandfather goes with him to care for him. After he gets well, Doming and his grandfather return to their village. Doming, his mother, and his grandfather attend a church meeting. They all three stand and declare they have decided to follow Jesus.

This is a good missionary story that shows the need for salvation and for telling others about Jesus.
