Description
This 45 page book teaches young children about believers in Jesus who live in Buddhist countries. It tells about three Asian countries. They are Myanmar (Burma), Bhutan and Tibet. The stories and activities teach about Sri Lanka, Laos and Vietnam. Children learn about Christian people in these countries who suffer for their beliefs. They learn about those who have never heard about Jesus. This book helps children develop an interest in missions. It helps them pray for these people.
The book contents include:
- A half page introduction.
- Three pages explaining Buddhism.
- Seven pages describe Myanmar (Burma). There is a map to trace and color.
- Stories of early Christian missionaries in the region and two activities
- Four more pages teach more about the Kingdom of Bhutan. This includes facts and a map activity. One story explains why it is hard to tell others about a belief in Jesus.
- Eight pages give Tibetan facts and a map.
- Stories and activities about Tibetan dogs
- Games played, foods eaten and languages in Buddhist lands
- Information about Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, and Christians in Laos
- Children are given an outline to help them write down prayer requests and answers.
- A three page one-act play about a Christian Vietnamese woman
- The last four pages are a review. Children are taught to pray for Christians in Buddhist lands.
- Answers are given for some of the activities.
Considerations
Some of the information in this book is useful.

- Help Christian children believe in Jesus even if they suffer for it.
Limitations
Some activities are not appropriate for children who can not read or write.
- Supplies for some activities may not be available in all cultures.
- Use of this book in some countries could cause trouble with the authorities.
