Considerations

Advantages – Small and very portable; low cost; reasonable sound quality.
Disadvantages – Uses batteries; the sound gets distorted when the batteries get low.

Evaluation

This small speaker has surprising quality sound; however, the company's claim for “full bodied sound” is a bit exaggerated. Though not necessarily as good as some of the larger computer speakers that are available, it can serve a good purpose for getting away from headphones, and sharing the audio with others.
The 360 degree sound is good when the unit is set flat on its back. Sound is improved a bit, though, if it is propped up against a wall or solid surface, or mounted to hang against a wall.
Portability and small size are key features of this speaker. However, if these are not an issue, you may also want to consider the larger computer speakers offered by Altec Lansing, VS2420, which have a somewhat better sound quality and cost about the same.
